OK a few days ago i saw the latest commercial for diet pepsi
It has Diet Pepsi machine next to a diet coke machine, someone gets a diet pepsi, they pull out the diet coke machine and put in a diet coke w/ splenda machine, few seconds later they pull that out and put in a Coca-Cola Zero machine
and then they pull it out and the commercial ends

I honestly cant take pepsi HAVING to use coke in their commercials, oh whats that te commercials that dont feature them hamring coke sucks, like the diet pepsi blingin vehicles? yea that did suck!

Just my two cents.

Pepsi is trying to tell it hard core Diet Pepsi drinkers that no new or old diet,no carb soda pops coke offers the same taste, only it's diet Pepsi soda pop remains the same. They want us to answer in our minds "Diet Pepsi is so good it does not need to chase after cokes products."

I agree, sell me on the merits of your products Pepsi, baffle me with your creativity not your competitors brands. I'm speaking from a advertising view point.

Its just all part of the smear campaign that seems to have guided Pepsi's advertising for the last 8 years atleast.
Hey Pepsi, Shasta called, they want their lemon-lime back.

Pepsi made that in Mexico (with the Pepsi Challenge and the Monkey commercials), but the comparisons between products showing the competitor brand in commercials are banned here in Mexico. Coca-Cola took advantage of that, they sued Pepsi, Coke won, Pepsi had to pay millions of pesos. And Pepsi never did that again... their only resource in their ads are plastic pop stars and football stars.

BTW, one that comes in my mind from the last Pepsi commercials of that kind is the one that appears the young "Jimi Hendrix" choosing between a Pepsi machine and a Coke machine, chooses the Pepsi machine, he buys a Pepsi and sees next to it an Electric Guitar store, while next to the Coke machine appears an Accordian Store.

And this was another try of Pepsi to convince us that Pepsi is for the modern ones and Coke is for the old ones... In this case, in my 23 years old... I'M OLD, and I never leave Coke!

Funny, but I'm a diet coke fan and I love the ad because I know in about seven years DC with Splenda and Coke Zero will be gone or production will be cut down significantly.

You know, Pepsi ruined that beach commerical.

They should have ended it with a fork lift moving the Diet Coke machine out and a second Diet Pepsi machine in... Then someone walking up to the two machines confused and unsure of what to do.

Hey, wait a minute!, if they change the Coke machines, why don't they change their vending machine of Diet Pepsi for a Pepsi ONE Machine? HUH? HUH?
