Is TaB Energy going to replace the origianal TaB? I sure hope not because I really like TaB.

There is no way that Coke is going to replace TaB with TaB energy. If they have kept TaB around for all of these years, they are not going to replace it. They are just trying to take advantage of a niche in the energy drink market.

Tab Energy is a 10oz energy drink that is going to be marketed to females, it has a good taste to it, almost bubble gum like, strawberry. It was good.

Even though some females are starting to get into the energy category...the % of energy drinks sold to women isn't that high. It will be interesting to see how Tab Energy does since its aimed at a relatively small consumer group within the energy category.

I don't know how much a niche the Tab brand name will have with energy drink consumers. You're talking about two completely different drinks...

Tab = sugar free cola - very big in the 80's
Tab energy = pink lemonade flavored energy drink

The heavy Tab drinkers are practically baby boomers...don't think an energy drink will appeal to them...

No it doesn't. But, interestingly enough, Sugar-Free Full Throttle does.

    FT has saccarine? WHOA!

BTW, is still valid the myth that saccarine may cause cancer? The last Tab can mentions that saccarine may cause cancer, but only in animals, I wonder if it's the same in people...

Saccharin is no longer considered to be cancer causing. The warning is no longer required. To get the dose of saccharin the rats in those laboratory test were getting, you'd be drinking about 500 cans of Tab a day.
