I love crushed ice with my soda pop. I even keep track of which fast food/convience stores have crushed ice with their fountain drinks. I know I'm a strange soda pop freak.

For the longest time I have been trying to find a cheap (simple) ice crusher. Yes I have searched the internet. I have gone to Meijer,Kohls,Wal-mart,Sams...with no luck.

This morning a little white light went off in mind. I grabbed a zip locked bag, 3 ice cubes and a hammer. I placed the bag with ice in between two pot holders and gently made crushed ice. LOL

Well, it was not the most elegant thing to watch but oh boy was I in crushed ice bliss.

Now that I had discovered my stupid human trick I shall be crushing ice at least a few times a day. LOL

As far as I'm concerned, crushed ice simply melts quicker in your drink.

I am pro-cubed ice.

SEV,
I see your point.

I love sipping soda pop with crushed ice. I have an abnormal love for the way small amounts of the crushed ice feels in my mouth and tong. LOL

My soda pops never last long enough for the ice to melt. LOL On average, from opening to the last gulp my soda pops last just about as long as it takes to donate them back to the city. LOL

Wy wife and I both like our sodas with a ton of ice. Here in England people don't tend to have ice in their sodas 'cause so damn cold all the time, we always get funny looks when we go to McDonalds or BK and ask for loads of ice in the Coke.

I think people over here think they are getting ripped off when they get ice, as they think they aren't get a full Coke.

Funny thing,in my family,as a kid my Dad used to load up his glass with ice even though the soda pop was quiet cold. I learned to enjoy this way of drinking soda pop. When we use to eat at one of my relatives house, our soda pop glasses had one or two ice cubes. Right away as if on cue I would hear my Dad offering to get more ice for the table. LOL

To this day, I have to have ice stacked high in my glass for soda pop. When go out for fast food I ask for easy ice which is usually a good amount of ice. I get pissed off if there is too much ice as a liquid freak I hate running out of soda pop before I finish my meal.(This is when I do not eat inside the fast food restaurant.)

I really like the crushed ice they have at SONIC. It is very delicious. Their drinks are absolutly the best because of the ice. You can get all kinds of flavorings added to make them that much better with the crushed ice at SONIC. The food there is wonderful as well. Nothing beats a Route44 drink and a chili cheese coney.
Yes ZABE I know I am killing you!!!hehehe LOL
Seriously I like about a half cup of ice. The best ice IMO is like what they have at Taco Mayo here, yes their food is horrid but they have the small pellet ice.
If what you did yesterday still looks big, you haven't done much today.

Not yet, no yoko locals have shown any desire to take a 3 hr road trip with a soda pop groupie. LOL

I'm thinking around April of 2006, I will set sail for the nearest Sonic. I keep hoping Chi Town will be given a token location. I'm not ready nor totally able for a solo 3 hour car ride.
Besides, I would be stopping at every road stop area looking for local soda joints. LOL

It's weird to see here crushed ice in sodas, only sodas are served with ice cubes here.
