Does any one else really enjoy a strong
carbonation burn on their tongue from drinking a cold bottle of soda pop?

Strange but drinking a cold bottle of Coke Classic always gives me a nice carbonation burn. I look forward to this sensation. It seems to get my taste buds ready for action.

I just drank and 20oz I had in my fridge and boy am I a happy camper.

Yeah, Sprite'll really do it.

When I was a kid, I used to hate drinking carbonated beverages too fast, I would hate the burn in my throat. I couldn't believe how my father would take a HUGE gulp of soda and not wince.

But now, I love swigging a good gulp of something and have tears well up in my eyes because of it.

Call it joyous masochism for the sake of soda.

I buy the generic brand of seltzer (sometimes fruit-essenced, sometimes not) and I get that as well, if it's cold enough. Kind of nice. Good to have a sensation that matches up well against the heavy sweetness of some traditional sodas.

On a side note, when I was my brother and I would intentionally pour the Coke out of the bottle into a glass to get that big carbonated/syrupy head. Then we would suck the foam down and see who could burp the loudest!
Whether you think can or think you can\'t, you\'re probably right!
