I miss this stuff so much! I have one can left in my minifridge but im afraid to drink it knowing it'll be my last, probably ever! I yet to hear that people perfer that new black cherry one (or like it at all) over vanilla coke! I have emailed coke telling them I am disapointed but is there more that can be done?

Well, I heard that a hand written letter carries the weight of 1,000 emails.

You might be out of luck on this one. There's probably some old fashioned restaurant like Johnny Rockets that could whip you up a nice, superior vanilla coke. Or you could always try ebay...

Good luck, and you will need it, because I e-mailed and phonecalled my Coke bottler and the consumer call center in Mexico City a thousand times begging them to bring back Coca-Cola vainilla... no success... now it's gone

In fact I have the same problem as you, I still have an 8 oz. can of Coca-Cola vainilla (dated Apr-05)... but I don't want to drink it too because maybe it's the last Coca-Cola vainilla in Mexico, although if I drink it, it won't have the same taste...

They are an arrogant bunch of idiots who don't have a bloody clue. They let the NY bottler get away with failing to provide diet vanilla coke in either 1.5l or 2l bottles and it became very hard to find it in any stores in the NY area in the fridge packs that were being producced. And then they had the gall to say it wasn't selling well...give me a break. It was the best flavor they had.

But then again what do you expect from idiots who dropped the flag ship brand for some miserable product called new coke and it took them a month and a half of abuse before they admitted their mistake.

I am afraid they will never admit their mistake on this one.

Yeah, I'm afraid the sales of Vanilla colas...for both Coke and Pepsi have declined steadily over the last couple of years. I doubt they will come back anytime soon...

yeah but it's not like coke to suddenly kill a product like that, that's something pepsi does, I mean there were probably times other certain coke brands werent doing so well but they never got rid of em... I mean seriously they have cherry vanilla coke, and cherry coke, why no vanilla coke? cant stand dr peper an all the dr peper wanna be drinks out now.

Solution: Buy yourself a big bottle of Torani or DaVinci vanilla syrup (the sugarfree version for you diet folks out there), and add a few teaspoons to your Coke (or Diet Coke).

A much smoother taste, in my opinion.

Yeah, you're right, fusion. Thinkgeek.com has some caffeinated vanilla syrup that I used to add to my sodas. When vanilla coke came out, I was deeply disappointed in its flavor compared with my homemade concoctions. I bought it once and never paid for it again, though I got some free sodas at one of my jobs.

there is now a great movement brewing with sites such as http://www.savevanillacoke.org/ . Us fans will not stop until it comes back! Vanilla Coke Riots will surely ensue if it gets big enough!

Guys, just like any product that gets discontinued...its because the sales didn't justify keeping it. It wasn't a valid contributor to Coke's bottom line. Of course, there will be loyal customers that get upset...but, if there were enough people buying it to begin with, it wouldn't have gone away.
