Vintage Grocer

I stumbled across this website. I thought all of us old farts and young farts would enjoy seeing some of the old candy from our childhoods.

I used to eat lots of Atomic Fire Balls when I was younger, but can't do that any more, they eat up the insides of my mouth.

I've always liked Wonka candies. The Tart n'Tiny's are nice, but I remember the original ones that did not have the shiny coating on them, either kind were good though. Nerds were/are good ones. I remember they did a test market or limited edition on Hot and Cool Nerds at some point in Colorado, and I liked those, but I guess I was in the minority.

But most of all it's nice to see they list Bottle Caps , of course. I still eat those every now and then. I get em by the box and not by the roll though.

One of my childhood favorites was Hot Dog bubble gum. The gum was shaped like a tiny two inch hot dog. The gum was colored red and was very sweet tasting. YUM I also liked the cigar shaped bubble gum.

When I was a kid, my favorite american candies were Bubble Tape, Garfield Paws Bubble Gum, Popeye Spinach Bubble Gum, Slush Puppies Bubble Gum, Ouch! Bubble Gum, Nerds, a bubble gum that I don't remember the name but it was a watermelon bubble gum in a toothpaste tub. And my favorites then and now are the canadians Snickers and Milky Way... yum

Does the bubble gums I mentioned are still available?

Except for Target around Christmas time, Hometown Favorites is the only place that I can get Jiffy Pop. I buy a case from every few months.
