I have a Seaga HF3500 which has worked great since I have had it. Yesterday I was taking inventory and noticed the 2nd soda option was not vending. After opening the machine I noticed that there was a defective can in the chute up against the can coil that had exploded. There was some minor leakage. The manual for the machine tells you to unload the chute but it does not tell you had to do that. This happened at 6pm EST; 30 minutes after the Seaga CSV line shuts down for the weekend. I can call at 9
:30am EST Monday but I figured one or more of you may know how to fix this and could point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

This may sound foolish but donÂ’t you think people on a vending message board would know better how to help you?

From many of the posts I see in here most of the vending people are new at this. I would think you could find someone on a vending board with years of experience.

Lepke,

Good point but I have seen several people offering advice on technical issues recently; particularly in the Energy Drink forum. It can't hurt to try.

UUUUMMM well I guess to "unload" the chute you would do the same as "load" the chute, just in opposite direction. I.E. instead of putting cans in you would take them out. Then on the matter of the exploded can well take one of your hands, grab onto the exploded can, with your other hand release the lock on the cam, pull can. If that doesn't work, pull harder until it comes out. Place product that you "unloaded" back into the machine.

If what you did yesterday still looks big, you haven't done much today.

Saint,

Thanks.Nothing like some good sarcasm on a Sunday.I tried the common sense approach on Friday night and the lock would not release.I got the can out this morning. The motor works and the price shows up, it just will not vend. I will call Seaga in the morning unless you have some advice on why it will not vend? The wire connections seem fine and I re-set the price.

I used to work with a pop machine this was about 6 years ago. The machine was an 8 slot. Have you tried unplugging the machine for a minute or so. Maybe a memory chip needs to reboot.

Advice offered with good will and peace to mankind.

I was surfing around a vending message board.
People at http://www.vendingtalk.com/ would be better equipped to help.
Also to help you grow your business.

I really donÂ’t understand why people in vending would be so attracted to bevnet at the expense of message boards geared to their specific needs.

BTW Saint, pretty funny.

Thanks Mr. Zabe. I appreciate your advice. I did unplug it as well. All of the Mountain Dew drinkers are going to be upset tomorrow morning when they are forced to make another selection. Hopefully I will have it fixed before lunch time.

Thanks Lepke. I posted there this morning as well and received some good advice.

Bevnet does has some good info on it and people who know what they are talking about. You can never have enough resources at your disposal. I do agree that for people in vending the above mentioned website would be a great resource. I will stick with both.

SDR, thatÂ’s proves my point.
You posted a question to a vending forum and received good advice.
And what did you get here?
