I find it easier to just walk up to the table and throw my money all on the first hand. I will either walk away with a fistful of money or save myself several hours of prolonging the inevitable. either way it ends the "coulda, woulda, shoulda".
If what you did yesterday still looks big, you haven't done much today.

LOL, but that takes the skill out of the game saint...

Call it what you want but cards are about luck. there is no skill involved. Now if you had to push a button to tell the dealer to stop on a certain card then yes there is skill, but it is whichever card is on top.

Professional poker players have skill, it's not just about who has the best hand but how you play the cards/or bet the hand. I often see the best hand fold on TV because they were out-played. BINGO and lottery ticket scratchers need luck.

True, but it also has alot to do with the stakes involved. No limit vs limit are played vastly different. But I think your underlying comment is true. There is most definitely some skill involved in being a GOOD player.Originally posted by Joe Louis Punch:

The same is true of many games though. A family friend of ours is a dentist by trade, but spends several weeks a year in Vegas, and it's always free due to the comps he earns from being a winning player. There HAS to be something more than luck involved with many of these games, or there would be no professionals.
When's the last time you ran into a professional slot player?
