I just was this today www.sodaclubusa.com has any one ever tried any of this homeade soda, it looks really cool and I wanted to get one, but I was really dissapointed when I found out that even there regular sodas have splenda in them. About 9 grams of sugar per 8 ounce serving and the rest splenda. I wonder if this soda tastes any good or not?

Wow it's nice to finally see that there's an American company marketing this in the US.
Don't believe for a second that you have to use their flavor packs to make soda. Take any worthy juice or concoction that you can cook up with your favorite flavors and you have yourself a party.
I'm seriously considering buying one of these...

They are actually an international company from Israel, and have been selling there product in other countries where its selling well. That probably is true you don't have to use there flavoring, I wonder if any other companies make flavoring for soda machines, if you do get it please tell me how the soda tastes

Oh is the company Israeli? That's fine by me.
What I think is good is that at least there's a company arm selling it in the US, because before this company, one had to import the water carbonators from Europe.

I looked in to buying this machine a few years ago. The machine just creates highly carbonated water. Whether you use their flavor packets or you add in some koolaid or other mix, that's all there is to it.
I was not willing to pay that much money for the machine and the required CO2 cartridges. I rather buy soda water, ice it down and add in syrup or koolaid. Don't worry, be happy. Meher Baba

Just a funny thing. I was given a rather nice juicer. The kind where you put fruits and vegetables in and make juice. Well the juicer was nice and made good juice, the clean up after wards was miserable. It became a dreaded chore.
I gave up the juicer because it was easier and cheaper to buy good 100% juice at local food stores.
The soda pop companies have nearly perfected the art of making carbonated sweetened beverages. I like to rotate soda pops to keep things fresh and enjoyable. Don't worry, be happy. Meher Baba

Ya if I do try it at least I will be able to send it back and get my money back, they have a 30 day money back gurantee. I don't think there will be much cleanup from making soda

Even though I want it very much, I doubt I will get this machine any time soon. I am but a modest young person with little money after rent and food.
But there certainly are advantages to owning this machine, even with the CO2 costs and whatnot.
Recently I tried making my own soda(if you wanna know about it, search the board archives and you can find my thread about it). I did it by creating a concentrated syrup with various flavors in it. I then poured the syrup into simple seltzer water to my tastes.
But this machine, it doesn't just carbonate water. It carbonates whatever is in the bottle. Therefore, you don't have to make a concentrated syrup to mix. You simply make a formula how you like, then simply put it into the machine to make it bubbly.
It makes the chemistry a little easier is all.
Clearly, though, you have to make alot of homemade soda for this purchase to be worth it. Unfortunately I'm afraid I have neither the time nor money.
