It's Friday.
I just got my electric bill for 7/06. My AC is set at 75 (24/7). My bill was only $85.
Granted I have a ground level condo that only gets the morning sun and my place is about 1000 square feet.
What's your AC costing you this summer?

Saint,
The offer is still on the table.
You bring me 2 cubes of Pepsi and 2 cubes of Mountain Dew and you and your family can spend a cool cave week over by me. LOL

Now that would be just silly. I would have to spend 26 bucks for the soda and the cost of the trip. How's that gonna help pay away my daughters college money for electricity??

Hey Mr. Zabe,
I set both my AC's to about 72 - we have a unit upstairs and one on the main level of our house (about 3600 sq. feet total, but 1400 unfinished basement). My AC bill last month was $165.00 and it's been around 100 degrees here. Your power company must charge more than our's here, cause $85 seems high for a ground level condo. At least with it being so hot it's saved me on my gasoline cause I don't feel like going anywhere!Jack's Mom

So very true, maybe I can buy an email list and start a major email flooding and have everyone send a dollar to me to pay it, haha

jacksmom,
Your partly right.
Chicago has fairly high electric rates.
Also my condo's HVAC is original equipment from the early 1970's. It's not as efficient as the more modern systems. It's still better for me to pay a little bit more than to shell out about $3000 to replace it.
I think Saint's idea might be the best idea yet. You all please send a buck to the "Chill The Zabe Fund". LOL

Maybe eventually you wouldn't have to pay any utility bills that way! Now if there was just a "Feed the Thirst" fund - that's what I need....
