I was watching the Super Bowl ads at the USA Today website, and among them was the countdown to the Pepsi halftime show, and I found out at 0:23 this photo...

It actually looks a lot like the Mtn Dew sidekick bottles we've had for awhile now.

Ramon, thanks for those comments and images. Those actually look pretty nice! I wonder if there will ever come an update to the "Special Export" bottles that Pepsi brings into the USA. Pepsi really dropped the ball on the plastic swirl bottles - back when I worked for Pepsi one of the many bottled waters we distributed had a swirl look to it that was much more in line with the classic 1958 glass bottle than the "pinwheel" style that Big Pepsi chose to use. This new one, yeah it's Squirt-like, but it's also a lot closer to the Classic Swirl than I've seen Pepsi use since the final glass bottles that AD Heusing bought around year 2000.

The new label looks a lot like the new Pepsi label in Mexico... although in this one the Pepsi globe is not bigger than the label.
IMO the new american bottle looks so much better than the new mexican bottle.
