I am originally from the midwest (Tristate area of Ill, Ia, and Mo and grew up with big red.
I have since moved to North Carolina - Raleigh and am not able to find my Big Red or one that tastes very similar (i.e Barq's Red Creme Soda)

Does anyone know where I could get some that would be relatively close?

I tried ordering some Big Red to be sent directly from the mfg...but the shipping costs are way outrageous

I'll trade for red fusion and or Pibbxtra

Try Kroger's red cream soda. Their store brand is Big K. It tastes a lot like Big Red. I used to get Big Red in Danville, VA, but it was discontinued.

If you have a piggly wiggly nearby (I think they are in both of the carolina's) they normally sell them in ceirtain ones. I went to about 6 of them in my area and found Big Red in one, also only 1 out of 6 had bawls.

The Sundrop bottler in Concord, NC produces Big Red. If you're heading towards Charlotte any time soon, look in Salisbury, Concord or Kannapolis. Send me a PM if you want exact locations.

The closest Barq's Red Creme to you is going to be Staunton, VA from Central Coke. However, I think they're discontinuing it.

I saw Big Red in Concord about 3 yrs ago, ut I haven't seen it since. I'm planning a trip to Indian Trail to see a friend next month. Where close to I-85 will I find Big Red...especially in 12pks.?

Definately discontinued here in Staunton, but some of the Krogers still have some left.

Barq's Red Creme Soda is available in both regular and diet in Huntington, WV in 12 packs of 12 oz cans...

I found Diet Big Red at Walgreens A few days ago.

I've never seen Barq's Red Creme Soda.

Big Red is common here but Diet Big Red is rare.

I 2nd the fact that Big-K Red Cream Soda is A lot like Big Red. They are both Good.
