DR PEPPER IN GLASS??? Is it the Dublin DP or West Jefferson? That's pretty cool if a chain grocer is selling this. Can't find one around Chicago that does.Originally posted by gregmech26:
I found tons of the 8 oz. glass bottles of coke classic, diet coke, sprite, and dr pepper in 6-packs at the kroger in west bloomfield, michigan (north east corner of 14 mile and farmington roads).

Thanks, Zabe. I knew about that place. Whenever I can scrape some $$$ together, they're my local hook-up for all them freaky sodas!
But I thought gregmech was referring to finding DP in glass in a chain grocery store (Kroger), and I've never seen any of the major chains around Chicago carry DP in glass. At least not in the last 15 years or so.

It's regular Tab from the old days (not the energy drink).
I found a Tab 12 pack (12oz cans) in a violet colored box at the Meijer in Brighton.
The Dr. Pepper in glass at the Kroger in West Bloomfield is just regular Dr. Pepper made with HFCS.

Is that the 12oz bottles originating from the West Jefferson plant in NC or the 8oz Imperial Cane Sugar version from Dublin, TX. To my knowledge, both use cane sugar though the 12oz bottle states "high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar" on the label.Originally posted by gregmech26:

I find it fascinating that Kroger sells this. Other than the Coke/Diet Coke/Sprite 8oz bottles I see at stores around Chicago (Jewel in particular), I've never seen the West Jefferson glass products (Dr Pepper, Orange Crush, Sunkist, A&W, RC, 7-up, Cheerwine, Nehi, etc...) in a major chain.

I'm not sure. It's been a while since I've been in that store.
If my memory serves me correctly, I believe it was 8oz glass bottle with a crown cap and the ingredient was HFCS with no mention of "and/or sugar."
I know the 8oz coke, in the similar packaging, only listed HFCS.
If I'm back in the store I will check it out.

it's just regular 8 oz Dr Pepper bottled by Coke. You can find it all over the place here in Michigan.
If it\'s in glass, it probably kicks a@*

THAT'S AWESOME! I wonder why no stores in Chicago carry this.
Any other regions in the country sell DP bottled in glass bottles by Coca-Cola? Anyone with pictures?
