I never really knew about all of the more obscure beverages in the Hattiesburg (south Mississippi) area until I started looking around. Here is some of the stuff that I found over the past couple of days.



I also ran across some RC Cherry and various Nehi flavors (including Blue) while out and about. If anyone is interested in any of this stuff or has any specific questions, just drop me a line.

The RC & Nehi products are coming from Mellow Moon in Paragould AR. Of the few Nehi bottlers left, Mellow Moon does more flavors and packages than any other. Their Blue is a very tasty soda and it's a shame it doesn't have better distribution.
Big Punch, IIRC, is sold mostly by Coke United bottlers in MS/LA, but the brand is franchised from Big Red. Delaware Punch is a Coca-cola brand, I found it in the CCE territory of north MS last May. If you found both of these brands in Hattiesburg, I'd wonder if United is in the process of dumping Big Punch and pushing Delaware Punch instead.
How about the Mellow Moon branded sodas - are they still being sold in MS?

I didn't actually buy any of the Nehi products at the time, but I will try to get some over the next few days and will post some pictures.

Nope, I never saw any Mellow Moon flavors. I will keep my eyes open though!

Blue Nehi is actually a creme soda. It's pretty good!

oh... i had dad's blue cream soda, and it was good. i want to try this so bad lol.
