This is one of the closest to regular diet sodas around in my opinion. This stuff is great almost like Regular Root Beer without the calories!

Bart's regular and diet root beer is rather hard to drink. I find that the root beer flavor tastes very, for a lack of a better, word artificial.

I much prefer (popular mass market) Dad's or A&W.

Dad's is among the best, but VERY hard to find around here.

Here in Chicago, we are lucky as Dad's is available in the Major grocery stores.

I've been meaning to try Diet Barqs. It's only at select stores here though. (Ukrops, some Farm Freshes)

I love me some Diet A&W though.

It seems to be losing market share around here. Hard to find a cold Barq's of either type now.
Life is too short to drink crummy sodas...

I hate barqs, not a fan of caffine.

I'm drinking Dad's Root Beer right now. It's not bad. It's not something I'd go to any effort to drink again (since I'd have to get my sister to mail me some, which is far too much effort).

Speaking of root beer, last week I was in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and I ate at a place called Weber's Superior Root Beer Restaurant. They had root beer in frozen mugs, which was good, so I bought a 2-liter to take home. But the stuff in the 2-liter was incredible. I wish I could get that stuff on a regular basis.
