Dr Pepper is bringing back the extra point (21oz) bottles for 2005, and Cherry Vanilla (reg + diet) are also being sold in these bottles.

    Anyone seen any yet?

Is it some sort of a football promotion? Adding an extra ounce doesn't seem like much of a big deal. hehe

Southland stores have it in the Dallas area.....per the bottlers agreement Southland gets a 2 week head start on it before the rest of the market.

I'm influenced by things that appear to appeal to my addiction to pop. If it was a flavor on my A list, I would buy the 21oz of bottle Dr Pepper Cherry Vanilla just because of that extra ounce. LOL That's just me.

I was wondering if they were going to bring back that promotion this year. I'm looking forward to getting the other flavors in that size for my collection.

The whole idea behind this promotion is not only just one extra ounce. The main focus is the football shape and feel of the bottle. The extra ounce does come into play for the consumer especially when they realize that it is priced at least 10 cents and as much as 20 -30 cents cheaper than Coke and Pepsi in the independent channel. This can't be any worse than Pepsi selling 14oz cans that do not look any different than regular 12 oz cans.

We get no break in SW Ohio - Dr. Pepper is still bottled by Pepsi locally and sells for Pepsi prices. I'd love Dr. Pepper at 7up prices!!
