I have no official industry knowledge but I will
state my opinion on this question.

There are not only millions of soda pop drinkers that are very use to using the 12 oz can if only for convience (the can fits in the hand quiet well.) There are thousands of old vending machines that only dispense 12oz cans.

I think (my two cents) as an industry changing the can standard is not worth the expense. As well the consumer will feel challenged with try to figure new pricing points.

My guess is the big three will always toss in a new or odd can/bottle if not to draw attention a new product or some event. That's cool for the collector.

i can see them going to smaller cans but not bigger, the money is in plastic not cans... but there will always be different size cans every once and awhile

Most of the sodas we have are of 355 ml (12 oz.), but also we have the Spacio Leve line that are calorie-free Coke products in 310 ml cans.

I agree that the cans would get smaller on a broad scale not bigger. I do however see Pepsi bringing out limited and/or new items out in a 14 oz can as I am sure they have tons of empty ones sitting somewhere that were bought in anticipation of their 14oz 15pk, 6 pk setting the sales world on fire that flopped like a dying fish.
If what you did yesterday still looks big, you haven't done much today.

Now that's a big can of Coke!! I wish they would just keep it simple with the 12 oz. cans. 1 or 2 oz. isn't much, and I am unable to notice the difference in a 12 oz. can and a 14 oz. can. I think they should use the KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid! LOL

Yeah, I can't stomach regular Coke anymore, Diet Coke all the way for me now.
