I brought a fridge pack of MD. As I was drinking the first can, I noticed that a promotion was being advertised from 7/01/05 to 8/31/05. It was an internet promotion for free MD products at a local out door concert arena. The sell by date is 3/20/06.

Do bottlers get rid of old can stock?
The Dew tasted just perfect. LOL

I know they like to, but are not always able to sell them on time.

Well, that sell by date is about 3 months behind what's currently being produced.

But I have seen instances of old can stock and old fridge pack boxes being used past the promotion dates.

Actually I have noticed that MD seems to have sell by dates around 3 months be hind Pepsi.
I figured it has something to do with perservaties being slightly different. The birth date for this MD fridge pack is 9/16/05.

I guess the cans were of old stock.

Interesting. Or maybe it's the use of concentrated orange juice in the formula?

I meant the day of production which was in mid September of 2005.

The best taste date was 3/20/06.
