Wholesale Retail---recon

Good morning-

I'm doing a little recon on wholesale/retail pricing for:

Honest Tea and
Tazo Tea (I believe it's $14.99 wholesale per 12-pack)

Drop off prices to CS on per case or 1/2 case.

If I had the money Id buy the bev marketing report, but, alas, I'm just starting out.

Any help?

I see honest tea at $1.11 per unit 12 16 oz & tazo 13.8 btl at $1.14 per unit 24 at Tree- don't buy and the prices subject to sale and other discounts.

From what you said, it doesn't seem like there are any worthwhile margins to sell Tazo.

1.14 wholesale, 1.38 retail??

I've seen that stuff go for upwards of $1.49/$1.59 a bottle. Definately not $1.38. I think he was referring to the size of the bottle, 13.8 ounces.

gotcha. Retail is higher here in NYC. I've seen $1.89. The honest tea seems like a nice margin.

Retail in my sandwich shop in Charlottesville, VA is $1.59. Price seems to hover around $1.50 in the local grocery stores. I might have seen it as low as $1.29 or $1.39 at Kroger.

We get HT at $11.50 per case of 12 from our local distributor.
