KMX

I was curious as to what your thoughts of KMX and their marketing plans in the past year are. A lot of you guys have extensive knowledge as to who's who and doing what in this market. I actually like the taste of blue over the orange and KMX in general over Red Bull. I have a hard time trying to drink Red Bull. My understanding is that KMX fell to the #4 spot in the market last year from #2?

I can't find any actual rankings, since the marketing reports cost around $1400. But I did find a quote from one of them that stated that KMX was the #5 energy drink in 2002, with $26 million in sales. It didn't say who 2,3,4 were, though. Maybe A-Rush, Amp?

And another report showed that KMX was indeed #2 in sales in 2001, with $5 million. Red Bull sold $40 million that year.

Yah I had heard Amp and Adrenaline were something like 2,3 now. What a tough biz it is to compete with Red Bull. As much as I can't stand the taste, they did their work and deserve the success.
