Yes, that's right! When most think 'ACL', they naturally think of glass bottles. Well, here's two examples of ACL on plastic.

Just thought I'd share these rare animals..

    Those bottles look great!

Here in Mexico, Coke returnable plastic bottles have ACL: 1 liter, 1.5 liter, 2 liter (Coke, Coke Light, Sprite, Fanta, Fresca and Lift) and 2.5 liter...

ACL (if I don't get wrong) is the paint used for the label of the returnable bottles (plastic or glass)

ACL is 'Applied Color Label'. It's what you usually find on the old glass, returnable bottles. It's very unusual to find on throwaway plastic bottles.

Ramon, those bottles you show there looks like a plastic label on the bottle. Is that the case?

These bottles I show have the ink directly on the bottle. There's no label.

Seem's that is a plastic label at first sight, but is not, it's pure ACL, maybe now there's a new technology that allows to print the label with more definition, ... one day I'll scan a 2.5 bottle to show you...but this is only in plastic bottles, in glass bottles the ACL Labels are normal.

I forgot to tell you... in the case of Pepsi products returnable plastic bottles (Pepsi, 7UP, Mirinda, Kas and Manzanita Sol), they use paper labels, you can see them at www.geusa.com.mx, and make click in "Marcas Comercializadas", although that returnable plastic bottles are only available in few cities.
