    I believe the short answer is that there IS a difference, but some of the Pibb fans here could give you a better explanation.

    Im not really sure what the differance is but I like the original more. It seems that xtra has more syrup that original.
    Some times you just need a dr pepper.

    I think the flavor is intended to have a bit more of a cinnamon kick.
    Though, I think it is a makerting ploy to change the formaula, and increase brand awarness.
    I say, bring back Mr. Pibb!

    I think I like the new one better, but I barely remember the old one. I did find some pibb zero today and I think it is great, probably the best zero drink I've had.....but it isn't available around here, I found it while I was out of town.

    coke needs to start selling pibb and vault in its fountains... to compete with dr pepper and mt dew.

    I know in these part Pibb is in fountains. had it at Einstein brothers bagels the other day.

    Pibb xtra is in some fountains here but thats the olny way to get it. No cans, No bottles
