Finally someone put into writing my hatred for Big Red. One of the worst memories I have of any beverage is the first time I had it- thinking it would be Strawberry flavored. Sweet Lord that stuff is hideous. I'd rather gargle bile.

Big Red seems to be growing nationally. I see it more and more places, and in cities that never used to have it. "Drink Big Red It's Delicious!" used to be their theme. I think it is in one of my top five favorites. I like it because I think I can actually taste the caffeine.

Hey I agree with you on Big Red also Mr. Surge ,although my worst beverage experience (not counting the bitter stuff at the World Of Coca Cola) is with Moxie. I thought I drank motor oil.

Big Red had a bitter taste that was more than just the caffeine. Something in the flavor package.

I'm glad someone else also took Moxie's Elixar to task. Tasted like mixing Dr. Pepper, Diet Barq's Root Beer, and Tonic water all together.

Yep, those 2 are now on my worst soda list, along with Shasta Diet Chocolate, Safeway Select Root Beer, and Fanta Tonic water.

There may be fans of these flavors out there, but not here!

Big Red is a strong DPSU product in Northcentral WV, marketed somewhat heavily there.
