Ok, I just need basic beverage formulas that I can work with.

    Like is it
    5 Gallons Carbonated Water
    ? Pure Cane Sugar
    2 ounces extract or flavouring

Preservitives? I have citric acid and I can get sodium benzoate (I used to use that in pyrotechnics (www.krimzonpyro.com go to various and then you will see all the stuff by Boris))

You can buy ready made up syrups of many brands and save some effort. No having to find flavors, try different proportions, etc. Hires had flavor only concentrate for a number of years where you add sugar, then carbonated water or water with dry ice in it.

Brand flavor packages are often VERY closely guarded trade secrets!

I found a .pdf online about Open Cola, the open-source inspired cola, a couple of weeks ago. I can't seem to find the link, though. But all you have to do is Google it. Anyway, it goes into detail the processes on how to make your own cola at home. It also gives you good ideas on how to find the ingredients you'll need, like gum arabic and caffeine. You should be able to apply the process to other types of sodas, not just cola.
