For some reason, I can't find the thread that this was originally talked about on.. but this is a map showing the new structure of CCE, minus the former Central Coke territory.

No doubt that CCE is the biggest bottler of U.S.... and the world...

I've hearded about other Coca-Cola bottling companies like Consolidated, Abarta, Ozarks, Swire and Philadelphia... Is any other independent bottling company that I didn't mentioned?

I think there are almost fifty bottlers left in the USA. You mentioned all the bigger ones, though.

Coca-Cola United is one of the big ones you missed, though. They operate in different areas, including Chattanooga TN. This is the website for that part of the company:

    and now I know why...LOL

Here in Mexico we have only 13 bottling groups: Coca-Cola FEMSA, Embotelladoras ARCA , Grupo Continental (that distributes Coke here in Ags.), CIMSA, Bepensa, RICA, Yoli , Nayar , Colima, Nogales, FOQUE, Grupo Tampico and Jordan... but nothing compared with the U.S. Coca-Cola bottling system...

Great Plains is another fairly large bottler.

    In rough order:

CCBC Consolidated (Charlote) seperate stock listed company in the "missing" parts of the south east.

Swire (Salt Lake City) Asian listed stock that is the "anchor bottler" in China and Hong Kong and which owns lots of other busineses.

North New England, which is a part of Japan's Kirin Brewery.

Abarta (Cleveland), owns several seperate territories in the northeast, a closely held family company. As are Ozark, United, and Red River.

Philadelphia, the nation's second largest black owned business of any type.

Actually, ABARTA is headquartered in Pittsburgh. They own the Cleveland OH, Tonawanda (Buffalo) NY, Coatesville PA and Bethlehem (Allentown) PA franchises. They are also involved in other ventures, like publishing.

I live pretty close to their Coatesville area. They run 2L, 20oz and fridgepacks in Bethlehem (BH), but buy 16.9 and 8pk 12oz from CCE and CCBCC. They also buy DP B&C fridge from Philadelphia Coke.

The Bethlehem plant also runs fridgepacks for Davis Beverages, the DPSU bottler for most of eastern PA.
