On my home from work last night, I saw some guys taking an old cooler out of a local butcher shop. I stopped and asked about it. The guy says, "Here, take it!"

Turned out to be a nice 1970 cooler that gets ice cold.. can't get any better than a free machine!

    SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Around here people know the value of classic stuff like that. It’s very rare to find anyone throwing away classic stuff. But it has been known to happen.

    COOL Pete!

Like Lepke said, it's rare to find people throwing classic stuff... but it's more rare that they gave it you for free!

The guy that gave you the cooler is such a really nice person! anyone else would set you a price for the cooler...

Yes, I agree! I'll definately buy meat from this shop for now on! I asked him if I could pay him for this cooler but he said No, just take it. It's great to find people like that!

I was sort of thinking the same thing.

Pete what are your plans for that classic cooler?

Don’t let it rust and die under that tarp. It would be a sin.

They probably figured better you than them having to muscle it away...but congratulations! That thing is awesome. Now go do something cool with it.

No, don't worry guys. It won't be there long at all. Getting a concrete slab poured in a few 24x24 shed this week. That's why it's where it's at right now. It'll go into my new building next week. Thanks for the concerns though!
