Hi all - I'm looking for some info on Kayo Chocolate Soda... I know it's not around anymore, but I'm trying to find out where it was based out of. Was this a regional brand or national? Some of the vintage advertising (signs, etc.) for this brand is really cool.

Any info would help a lot. Thanks!

Blair, I'll check and see what I have on the history of Kayo. It is still around (at least in powder form)!

On a road trip last year, my wife and I stayed at some hotel and they had Kayo Chocolate in the powder form. I took a couple packs for my collection.

Hi Jerry - thanks! I wasn't aware that it was still around albeit in a slightly different form. But that's still cool. And yeah, any history you could dig up about the brand would be great. Thanks again!

I have an empty Kayo can from the mid 70's, it was canned by Choc-ola Bottlers in Indianapolis. They made Kayo and Cow Power in those narrow 9.5 oz. cans.

I remember those cans. I always had to buy 2 of them to quench my Kayo cravings. The can was chocolate brown with yellow (it could have been white) lettering.

Cheer-wined - do you have a photo of that Kayo can that you could post?

OMG....Come to Papa!!!!
That picture brings back so many found memories. Man there was nothing like Kayo. The 9 1/2oz can went down like a 2oz shot of water. I had to have two cans back to back. What a treat!!!

Thanks for the picture.
