I don't know if anyone knows about this, but in Food Lion supermarkets, in the ice cream section, you can get both Cheerwine swirl sherbet and Sun Drop sherbet. I've tried the Cheerwine and it's very good.

However, these are both Food Lion brand, which is an east coast brand only, as are Sun Drop and Cheerwine I believe.

If anyone in Virginia or lower, I urge you to try this great regional delicacy.

I've seen that before, and really thought about trying it, but haven't. I was waiting for some reviews on them, but now I'll have to try them.

I actually bought the Cheerwine sherbet bars the other day:

They had a Cheerwine Swirl ice cream too, but I had it once and I hated it, Food Lion used cheap ice cream for it.

A few miles makes a big difference. I don't see these north of D.C.

Yeah I haven't seen any of this stuff north of say, Richmond even. But I believe you can go as far west as Tennessee and still find Cheerwine and the like.

Yeah, the headquarters of Foodlion is in Salisbury, NC. Ironically enough, it's also the home of Cheerwine. I think that's why Food Lion has the stranglehold of Cheerwine ice cream.

And Cheerwine itself too. Food Lion is the only place that carries it around here.

In my parts the Food Lion in Windsor carries it but not the ones in Franklin, sadly. Unless they've been out ... for three weeks (the amount of time I've lived in Franklin).

I bought the Sun Drop sherbet last week:

I didn't like it that much.

Ok, I did ask about where to find Cheerwine, but answered my own questions.

WHat do you guys think of the taste.

As I can not get it anywhere near colorado.

    Thanks!
