this is getting ridiculous. now the 20 ounce bottles are more than the 2 liter bottles.

are the prices this high in rest of the country too? I remember when they were still 75 cents each!

12 packs here are $4.99 when not on sale, on sale they are $2.99, a few years ago a 12 pack was regularly $2.99.

I've seen them for higher, up to $1.35. And even higher at events and theaters.

20oz are a profit making package. If a person wants a soda, and they're thirsty, they're going to buy it. And the stores and bottlers realize this.

last year the average was $1.06 for a 20oz. plastic bottle here. guess $1.27 was considered SAVINGS since 7-11 in Michigan charges $1.35.

Here they're mainly $1.09-$1.19 in the cases. Avoid the cases, and just get to the vending machines. Other than in malls, you're guaranteed $1.00, sometimes less. The highest I've seen was $1.26, and that's local for both Pepsi and Coke at RG's here. W/tax, that's $1.33.

20oz about $1.19-$1.25 before tax and deposit here. I've seen $1.50.
    2 liters generally 2/$3.00.
12 packs $3.99-$4.99. We blew thru hundreds of Pepsi on Thursday @ $1.98 and half that on Friday with Coke @$1.98.
    Plastic 6's, and 12's I don't pay attention to.

As far as the 20oz bottle goes, at my age that is to much drink. I usually end up dumping about 1/4 of the bottle. I think the new 13.? oz and 14 oz are great. I feel they should be a second choice in the cooler at a lower price point.

I think 20 oz. is an awkward size. It's more than you really should drink at once, but it's not really enough to last a while or to serve more than one person, and therefore people will drink the whole thing anyway. If you ask me, soft drinks should not come in any sizes between 12 oz. and 1 liter.

20 oz are 1.19 before tax and 1.27 after tax around here. I agree, 20 oz is too big for regular pop-- it packs a ton of calories and gets warm. Diet is fine in 20 oz, I guess.

Coke is looking at raising the prices of 20 oz by 8%-15%.
