going down to oxford, ohio

okay, i'm going down to oxford ohio from lansing michigan to visit a dear friend of mine at miami, ohio.

i think i will be taking i-69 down, the us-27 at fort wayne. is there anything i will be in reach of that isn't standard? exceptional stores? strange products?

Yes, go to Jungle Jim's! Bring plenty of money and have plenty of available car space to haul back lots of delicious beverages in glass bottles (as SS would say).

I would think you ought to be able to find Cherry Mello Yello, Ale-8-1, Vernor's in glass (at JJ's), and so on.

woxy kinda rocks. and i managed to find barq's red cream and 6pk half liters of crush flavors as well as a very good DPSU selection. found some ale 8-1 by the kentucky border on us 52.

didn't have time to go to cinci, it turned out to be a one day affair, i plan on going back next time!

what else i found odd was the following:

canada dry was produced by CCE - plant SL or SE, couldn't read. those were the one liters.

most cans came from HO

most 20oz came from CN

i found barq's red creme in cans and 20oz and 2liters.

24pk cans were plentiful, being coke, diet coke, sprite, cf and diet cf coke, cherry coke, vanilla coke.

coke had pibb xtra in ohio and indiana, pepsi had pepper and dpsu had put crush in everywhere.

there were dp double decker cubes.

dpsu produced schweppes.
