Well, you could have asked that a few years ago, and gotten a yes answer. Consolidated didn't carry it until the recent graphics update and the alignment of Cherry with the rest of the Coke "family."
CCBCC has carried Cherry Coke for the last seven yrs anyway. At first we had 2ltrs, 20oz(6pk&singles) and 6pk cans. A few yrs ago the 2ltr was dropped and the 12pk fridgepack replaced it. Then when the graphics were updated the 2ltr was brought back and diet Cherry Coke was introduced. Believe or not as we speak the 2ltr has been dropped again along with Vanilla Coke and Nestea. These will remain in 12pk cans and 20oz.
I must have mis-remembered what I read about CC and CCBCC. I'll defer to you, since you're the expert. I must have been thinking of Diet.
Vanilla 2L sales are dying here.. 24oz 6pk and 16.9oz 6pk sales have been dead since their related inceptions. I think the 24oz was killed, but I can't verify that.
Our 2L Nestea sales are pretty high, but we keep running out of it in the warehouse (we only carry Lemon in 2L).
Fridgepacks do well also. We have Lemon, Diet Lemon, Raspberry, and Peach. Peach is the slowest seller of the four. We also have lemonade iced tea, but in 20oz form only (I saw it in 2L in Georgia last year).
Does your branch carry 24oz and 16.9oz 6pks?
I personally think we should have kept Cherry Coke 2ltrs.(the other 2 really did not do that well for us) When we were first told about these deletions I could not help but wonder if CCBCC was making room for C2.
We only carried lemon Nestea, I have saw the other ones but have never tried them.
On another note Fusion, have you heard anything about the Sprite Zero conversion?
The entire Mid-Atlantic Division of CCE carries both 16.9oz and 24oz. 16.9oz in the shelf set, 24oz on incremental displays, wings, and sometimes on the sides of STS racks.
16.9oz flavors: Coke, Vanilla, CF Coke, Diet, CF Diet, Sprite, Diet Sprite, Seagram's Ale, Nestea, MM Lemonade. Cherry and Diet w/ Lemon were discontinued about 3-4 months ago.
24oz flavors: Coke, Vanilla, Diet, CF Diet, Sprite, MM Lemonade, Nestea. I think Vanilla is gone, though.
Mid-Atlantic was the test market for the 24oz. Some divisions have dumped 16.9 for 24. Northern Neck Coca-Cola, who buys PET from us did the same thing.
Sprite Zero conversion should start about 30 days from now.
This is what Central has. We have some combination of Consolidated and CCE, while missing some others.
