In the thread "Sumpoosie is here to stay" Energydude posted on both 9-8-03 and 9-9-03 that Sumpoosie would be in the program for the Ford Championship Weekend Nascar race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Claimed Kodak pulled out and the editor came to Sumpoosie to take the ad space. Sorry dude Kodak is advertised on page 31 and Sumpoosie is nowhere to found in the program, NOWHERE YOU LIAR. Nothing you post can now be believed. LIAR!

You can't be that stupid Pepperboy... they did offer them page 31 and Kodak was pulling out but guess what, when they were shown the ad for SumPoosie they went back to Kodak and offered them page 31 for half the price. They wanted Kodak in because SumPoosie was a little too much for them. Nascar is very conservative and they have every right to choose who advertises and who does not. Funny thing is .... Hooters and Viagra cars are going around the track... go figure

Sorry, I don't buy your story. You stated in a post dated 9-9-03 in the "Sumpoosie is here to stay" thread the following: "They came to us becasue Kodak pulled out at the last minute and the editor loves our product".
So you are telling me that Nascar (who owns the Homestead-Miami Speedway) came to you, knowing ahead of time what the product was because the program's editor (one of whom who is in his 50's, the other a female) loves it,then turned you down. If people associated with Nascar knew what the product was and "came to us" then why would they turn it down if they wanted it in the first place?
You said above that "Nascar is very conservative" and "Sumpoosie was a little to much for them". Tell me, why was a "conservative" organization drinking your stuff and approaching you to advertise in a publication put out by a "conservative" organization?

This has nothing to do with NASCAR being conservative. The name of this drink is vulgar (not an opinion - these are the current social standards) and you won’t find any major sports organization in North America, whether NBA, NHL, NFL, etc. that would touch it. If you really want it to be successful, take it somewhere like Holland where social standards are different and the name won’t be such an obstacle.

Do you really think that NASCAR would have permitted Pfizer to sponsor a team if they'd named their drug "Hard----" instead of Viagra?

So spare the excuses about NASCAR being “conservative.” I worked for their main sponsor for 20 years, I understand how they do business.

Pepperboy all I can tell you is SumPoosie had an ARCA car all last year I believe the drivers name was Coleman. The car raced and did very well. Last year they approached them to advertise because according to them they had a advertiser (Kodak) pulling out. Everything was all set until the publisher saw the ad and thought it was to much and rejected the ad at the last minute. I still have a copy of the ad if you would like to see it. Remember Peckerboy I can only report what I hear and get from corporate. The publisher pulling an ad at the last minute is not my fault or concern. NASCAR has approached them again this year to advertise as the Pink Drink... not going to happen!

ARCA is not Nascar. Sumpoosie was not the sponsor it was Think Pink. Bill Eversole was the driver. Yes, he did well.
