Default Another Pickup in New Orleans

Also was excited to find this while I visited New Orleans, probally one of the rarest coke products currently produced Delaware Punch. Does anyone have a history on the soda and why it is only in New Orleans.

I am looking for Mello Yello in glass bottles and Diet Mello Yello in can or bottle...if you find them let me know where you got them, thank you in advance.

Technically, you can find it in places other than New Orleans (although, it does seem to be confined to an area around Louisiana). You can find it pretty much everywhere in south Mississippi (I'm in Hattiesburg). Also, I seem to remember it on a recent trip out to Houston.

The date is the expiration date.

NW is the plant code, D is the day of the week. 12:07 is when it was canned.

NW is one of the plant codes we've never figured out. Coke plant codes usually are somewhat of an abbreviation of the city where the plant is (or sometimes the road the plant is on). NW doesn't seem to fit that mold.

Best guess is that it's probably the plant in Harahan LA. I've also seen 1.5L from that code, along with some 2L and some fridgepacks on my travels through the south.

You'll find more about Delaware Punch here:

Here in Ags. we are plenty of Delaware Punch, we have it in 12 oz. cans, 600 ml and 250 ml non-returnable bottles... in some cities it's available in 12 oz. glass bottles, but in other states of Mexico like Guanajuato, Puebla, Veracruz, Michoacan, Nuevo Leon and part of Tamaulipas it's not available...

No juice content. You can see the "artificially flavored" on the front of the can, and no juice is listed in the ingredients.

What I think is most amusing is that you can't find Delaware Punch in Delaware. Strange, no?
