    Default Dr. Denali?

    Hi all,
I just saw this at my local grocery store (Smith's). I didn't buy any because I assumed it was a store brand, but then when I saw it at a different store (Harmon's), I decided to pick some up. Is this just a regional thing or has anybody else ever heard of or tried it?

I'm bringing this post back up because I've now seen this and tried it as well. Apparantly, it's Admiral Beverages' clone of Dr Pepper for territories where they don't have the contract for Dr Pepper. I saw it down in Cheyenne WY, where Coke has the contract for Dr Pepper. I spotted it at Supermarket Liquors, a store that is often a dumping ground for both Pepsi and Coke to get rid of near or past-expired product. This stuff wasn't expired, but was priced like it might be. 1.99/12pack. It tastes like most Dr Pepper ripoffs, decent but nothing spectacular. But seeing a display of it there next to a stack of expired Diet 7up and Diet Pepsi Max 2-litres, I'm wondering if it isn't on "clearance sale" despite it still being in date.

I thought it was amusing they used the Registered Trademark symbol instead of a period after the Dr.

I also found it amusing because the store, it had a sign that said something like "Proudly Made In Wyoming." But, if you look at the production code on the 12-pack, it's UT. It would have been WY or WF if it had been produced in Wyoming.

    Default Dr. Denali

A buddy of mine found Dr. Denali in 20oz bottles in Alaska. I thought it might have been an Alaska only clone until I saw reports of it in the lower 48.

I bought the 12pack, mostly because it was dirt cheap, but I don't drink much sugared sodas anymore. So I brought it to work and left it in the fridge there for others to have. They didn't like it that much - just "OK", barely. I drank 2 cans myself, and I think I have to agreee.
