Imported from the mountains of Iceland, Iceland Spring water is the result of water that is naturally filtered through lava rock before resurfacing in intermittent springs.

Anyone know how water moves through lava rock, or does it flow around it?

The comparative remoteness of Iceland, its lack of intensive agriculture and heavy industry, and its system of tides and winds that protect it from weather borne pollutants result in a fresh and pure water that cannot be found anywhere else.

I got an A in high school earth science,
does that count as an expert? LOL

My guess is that as the magma cooled beneath the earth's surface,
gases created bubbles which caused pockets like Swiss Cheese. So an
aquifer can filter water though the porous lava beneath the surface of
the earth. Just my guess?
