    Default Acceptance Product Policy

Can a knowledgable professional please respond:

What are the US industry policies on the handling of Soft Drinks in regards to shipping and handling from bottler to distributor?

What are the policies on acceptable min/max temperatures during transit?

Should CSD pallets generally shipped in reefers?

    Thank You

Most soft drinks are not shipped in reefers. The only time I can remember having things shipped in reefers back in my warehouse days was when it was an owner/ operator who picked up an outsourced load from one of the allied brand stuff that isn't produced by a PBG facility. I do not know of anything as far as law for minimum and/or maximum temps on shipping of soda , except weight of truck cannot exceed 80000 lbs, and a full trailer is about there on cans. I do know that diet sodas start to freeze around 25 or so degrees F and all sodas will freeze at around 18 or so degrees F. The plastic bottled sodas will begin to explode in extreme heat as well I do not remember a range of temp on that though. It is somewhere in the range of 110+ degrees F.

If what you did yesterday still looks big, you haven't done much today.
