Default Why no Pepsi points of Coke rewards on 16oz bottles

I was walking through the supermarket today and I noticed that Coke and Pepsi don't use their promotional caps on their 16/16.9oz six pack products or Pepsi's 12oz plastic bottle 12 packs.

Both do have them on 24oz, though.

And some of the Coke shrinkwrapped multipacks (Dasani 24 packs, Nestea 12 packs) have points on the shrinkwrap.

No clue as far as the pepsi side of things..good question for my plant manager..I wonder why they are selective with it. I know its on pretty much every format(2lt..12pks..24oz 6pks) ..but some flavors are excluded in it. We also don't have 16oz bottles unless you mean half liters..we dont have that over in Eastern Virginia for Pepsi anyway.

I do not think that Pepsi would use promo caps on shrinkwrapped bottles. maybe a code on the outer packaging at the most. If there were promo caps the the consumer would gain 12 ( I would think) points for a purchase that basically nets Pepsi the same amount as someone who purchases a 12 pk of cans (or one point). The whole Idea is for consumers to buy MORE Pepsi to get more stuff, not for Pepsi to reward the consumer 12 times for one purchase. As far as the 24 oz bottles they really do not have much of a choice as there isn't any secondary packaging.

I am not sure about above point values for packaging it is just used as an example

Good point and probably the reason. Coke and Pepsi should do something to reward the multi pack buyer. They way Pepsi has been pushing the 12 pack bottles over 12 pack cans you'd think that the plastic buyer would be rewarded somehow.

Oddly, the 10 oz bottles in shrink wrap six-packs of Minute Maid juices have mycokerewards codes in them..the last time I entered a code, it asked me what flavor of Powerade it was from .

And I wonder why the single 20 oz Dasani unflavored water bottles don't have points; only the flavored varieties do.

I'd be happy to find 1/2 liter Pepsi bottles anywhere, with or without codes .

16.9oz Pepsi products should be at Wal-Mart.
