    Default DPS to reformulate 7UP

According to a post on Facebook, DPS is reformulating 7UP to give it a heightened Lemon lime flavor. This could also mean they are changing the recipe to make cheaper to make, or think it could supposedly be improved. This could also give them the possibility to mess up the recipe and make it inferior to the older version. 7UP has been reformulated before with the latest formula calling for "Natural" flavors. I'll be on the lookout for the new recipe but I'm not a frequent 7UP drinker.

How many times can they "improve" the taste? They just did that a few years ago.

Beverage Digest had the scoop and posted the following on both their Facebook and Twitter feeds: "Dr Pepper Snapple plans to re-formulate 7UP later this year. Exec says new flavor will be "crisper," high-lighting lemon and lime flavor."

Someone who works for DPSG mentioned on the BevReview Facebook page that it's a "response to complaints of the lemon and lime not being pronounced enough after all natural relaunch."

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the "Natural" reboot; it moved the flavor more in line with Sierra Mist, which really didn't differentiate the product very well. So it should be interesting to see what happens here.

Heck, they should do a "Throwback" edition with the formula they used 50 years ago...
Give me some cane sugar real Pepsi in a glass bottle... and not Throwback!

Well, if they want a "crisper" taste, dropping the HFCS and going with real sugar would help.

    Wasn't there a time when 7-Up was a top-selling soda?

Haha yeah, before Coke forced it's biggest bottlers to give up 7-up and pick up Sprite.
