Default NYC hostile to fountain drinks

After spending a week in NYC, I'm dying to get home to enjoy a good fountain drink!
Why is it so hard to find a good fountain (let alone Coke Zero...)?
I'm so sick of bottled drinks I can scream!!!!!!

What do you mean by "good"? Do you mean that it's difficult to find a good tasting fountain drink... or a good variety of drinks?

If you meant variety, I think it's because space is so limited in NYC, so restaurants need to stick with the basics.

It's the same thing in supermarkets. Because there are so many ethnicities here, the supermarkets have to carry a lot of different foods, spices, etc that you might not find somewhere else, but because of limited shelf space, you won't find 20 different flavors of Doritios. Usually just one or two. For a wide variety, you'd need to go outside the city... to CostCo or something like that.

New York State is hostile to soda in general, just look at the moron we have for governor.
