Liquor Brand Concept...To sell or produce?
I am new to the beverage industry, and am facing a dilemma. I came up with a name, and marketing scheme for a liquor brand. I believe that the concept is strong due to its marketing, and I am in the process of trademarking my ideas.
I have access to contacts at Jim Beam, and Diageo. Now, do I approach them and try to sell them my concept, and hope for cash and royalties?...Or do I go even more in debt, team up with a distillery, and try to produce and sell the product on my own? I have no problem with working hard on my own and building it up, but how much am I looking at?
And, most importantly, does anyone know what the most money any beverage company has payed a Joe Schmo for a concept?
