As one our Division Managers for this consumer beverage DSD operation, you will manage and coach sales managers, sales representatives, and merchandisers. You will directly report to the Vice President of Sales and be a senior member of our management team. You will work with our manufacturer's sales representatives. You must be able to work in a very fast paced and growing environment. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our newly expanded Long Island sales operation in our new state of the art facility. You will be responsible for securing, maintaining, and expanding our market share. You will also be responsible for managing all classes of trade within your division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of sales management experience with a strong record of success. He or she will have the ability to drive sales, manage a team of approximately 40, sales reps, merchandisers, and managers. You along with your team will be responsible to develop accounts, open new accounts, expand accounts, make new sku placements within existing accounts, and be able to achieve sales/merchandising goals. The ideal candidate will be "hands on" and be able to influence others at all levels. In addition the candidate must have a strong positive personality, be a "Can Do Person" with very strong "People Skills". Experience in DSD route sales management within the beverage industry or the consumer packaged goods industry is required.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of sales and distribution
Insure proper distributions and follow ups
Providing feedback to senior management regarding account status and growth
Coordinate new accounts, expand sku's, monitor resets and cold/dry product placements
Placement of coolers, manage existing coolers, hard and soft POS placement
Follow up weekly on past potential for sales and expanded distribution opportunities
Must be strong communicator with strong written and verbal skills
Manage merchandising directives within division
Must be very organized, detailed oriented, able to keep paperwork neat and organized.
Must feel comfortable dealing with chain and/or corporate personnel on all levels
Requirements:
