SENIOR FOOD TECHNOLOGIST - BEVERAGE

Symrise, “where Science and Sensation meet,” is the world's 4th largest manufacturer of flavors, fragrances and cosmetic & aroma ingredients. We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with an in-depth knowledge of ingredients, food systems & processes, customer products and industry trends to develop beverage concepts for customer presentation. You'll also support sales at the customer level; demonstrate Symrise’s technical capabilities by utilizing ingredients, stabilizers & citrus compounds; assist customers in solving technical product-related challenges; and support our ongoing new business efforts.
To qualify, you'll need a Bachelor’s degree (a Master’s degree is preferred), 7+ years' flavor & beverage development experience, strong knowledge of flavor/beverage applications and the ability to solve flavor & food ingredient related processing issues. Strong customer contacts are essential. The position works closely with in-house flavor developers, beverage applications personnel and sales, marketing, and sensory team members as well as external customers, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Strong project management skills and knowledge of MS Office are a must! Occasional travel to Symrise international locations for knowledge transfer, customer support and product presentations is also required.
