Since its inception, the New Beverage Showdown, BevNET’s signature beverage brand competition, has offered significant exposure to dozens of early-stage companies and emerging beverage categories, with top awards and recognition going to some of most innovative new brands to launch in recent years, including Coco Cafe, Runa, Chia\Vie and Health-Ade.
The competition will return for a seventh time as part of BevNET Live Summer 2014, which will be held on May 14 and 15, 2014 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. New Beverage Showdown 7 will give 20 beverage entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their business plans and new products and receive immediate feedback from a judging panel comprised of industry veterans and innovators. New Beverage Showdown is presented by Venturing & Emerging Brands, an operating unit of Coca-Cola North America.
The semifinal round of New Beverage Showdown 7 will begin before the official start of BevNET Live programming on the morning of May 14. Each of the 20 brands will have two minutes to give their best “elevator pitch” to the judging panel. The opening round is designed to help beverage entrepreneurs and innovators refine their ability to quickly introduce their products to important potential investors, distributors, and other key connections.
The judges will choose six companies to will move on to the final round, to be held on May 15, in which the remaining will have five minutes to showcase their brand, with the opportunity to include a variety of multimedia in their presentation.
The winner of New Beverage Showdown 7 will receive $10,000 in cash and prizes, including a check for $5,000 from Venturing and Emerging Brands.
Unlike previous competitions, semi-finalists will NOT be added on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, BevNET staff members will select participants based on the strength of their applications. In addition to details about their company and product line, we encourage applicants to include a short video with their submission, one that tells us a little more about themselves and their brand. The video should be entertaining, informative and fun.
Please note that companies that wish to participate must meet entry qualifications to be able to compete.
