Investment Panel: Deals are starting to flow; How to find yours
October 28, 2009 by BevNET.com Staff
BevNET Live will feature an exclusive panel of investors and deal makers prepared to discuss with attendees the best ways to find and raise capital and, more importantly, partner with investors in a way that matches your operation and your ambitions.
Investment cash is starting to flow back into the beverage marketplace after the stagnant deal flow that has characterized much of the last year. If you’re in the market to raise money in the near future – or simply want to be prepared for that day when it comes – it’s a presentation that you don’t want to miss.
The investment panel will feature investors who are in the thick of it, backing and promoting a range of companies of various sizes, with investment ranges from $1 million to $100 million. With various partnership levels needed at different stages of company growth, the aim is to provide a comprehensive look at investment models and what entrepreneurs can expect when they invite new capital.
Panelists include seasoned beverage investors Brian Krumrei, Principal at the venture capital firm TSG Consumer Partners, Inc. (portfolio included Muscle Milk, Vitaminwater, and Voss), Tal Johnson, founder of Adventure Funds (portfolio includes Thomas Kemper and GU) and Andy Whitman of 2X Capital Partners (who has worked with Country Time, Kool-Aid, Tang, and Corona), along with Brent Knudsen, a veteran dealmaker and managing partner of Partnership Capital Growth Advisors.
Investment capital is one of the accelerants that can help a beverage company glow white-hot; but partnering with the right investor under the right deal terms can make the difference between the cash feeding a steady flame or stomping out the fire prematurely (and ending your business).
Each of our panelists will present their view on the state of the investment market, finding the right investor for your business, and the best ways for beverage companies and investors to model their growth together. They’ll also be taking plenty of questions from attendees on some of the challenges and opportunities that investment can present.
