The roster of high-quality entrepreneurial brands continues to grow at BevNET Live, as Greg Stroh and James Rouse, two of the co-founders of mix1 Beverage Corp., Rodrigo Veloso, the founder and CEO of O.N.E. (One Natural Experience), and Peter Bianchi, the inventor of Drank will each play a prominent role on two exciting panels.
Veloso, whose company is best known for marketing coconut water, recently raised money and distribution assistance from Pepsi Bottling Group. As O.N.E. states its goals include devotion to environmental sustainability and good corporate citizenship – for example, the Healthy Child Healthy World program – and has recently gained new investment, Veloso will be speaking on the panel “Build a Conscious Brand – and Attract Investment Anyway!” The panel, which follows a presentation by Ryan Black and Jeremy Black of Sambazon, will focus on how companies can grow and partner with capital sources while remaining true to their core mission.
Greg Stroh and James Rouse started mix1 with partner Wes Brasher. Stroh, who was also one of the co-founders of Izze Beverage Co., and Rouse, a naturopathic healer and healthy living expert, started mix1 to provide all-natural, healthy sports beverages for pre/post workout and meal/snack replacement. Mixing protein, carbohydrates, antioxidants, fiber and healthy fats into mix1 products, the company has helped to expand the sports drink category to include products that go beyond electrolyte replacement. They will appear at BevNET’s Beverage School on Dec. 7 and also on the “Getting Converts and Creating Categories” panel during BevNET Live, explaining their strategies for taking unfamiliar taste profiles and functionalities into the marketplace.
Speaking of unfamiliar functionalities, Bianchi, a veteran beverage distributor, started Drank – the country’s fastest-growing “relaxation drink” — through his Texas-based distributing company, Innovative Beverage Group Holdings. While relaxation drinks remain a small part of the beverage spectrum, they are fast gaining attention and distribution. Bianchi will join Stroh, Rouse, Guayaki founder David Karr and ZICO founder Mark Rampolla on the “Getting Converts and Creating Categories” to further provide attendees ways to think about ways to introduce the next generation of beverage products to the public.
