The first day of BevNET Live Winter ‘13 is in the books, and what a day it was! Packed with critical insights on trends and current issues affecting the beverage industry, attendees were offered a broad range of information and tools designed to keep them on the cutting edge of the industry and move their businesses forward.
But we’re not done yet! Day 2 of BevNET Live begins at 8:30 a.m. and is loaded with more compelling content, including the finals of New Beverage Showdown 6. Once again, we’re offering a FREE high-definition video stream of the event for those unable to attend BevNET Live. The livestream will cover all of the presentations and panels from the day, beginning with an investor presentation on the best business practices for young growth companies as they look to grow into larger ventures – and, hopefully, avoid the mistakes of their predecessors.
The morning will continue with a presentation on consumer acquisition and avoiding the “Boom-Splat!” phenomenon led by Goodbelly CEO Alan Murray, followed by a deep dive on how new and early-stage beverage companies can successfully deploy capital and investment, and panel discussion on how brands can maintain a premium price point in a 10-for-$10 world.
After a short break, we’ll return with the first round of the finals of New Beverage Showdown 6 followed by a presentation on everything beverage companies need to know about working with convenience store chain 7-Eleven. Next up will be a panel titled “Wrestling With Explosive Growth” which featured David Kearns, VP of Sales, Talking Rain, Jeff Popkin, President, Vita Coco, and Andy Steele, Founder, Anonymous Consulting.
Lunch arrives at noon, and we’ll be back with an intriguing presentation and discussion with Michael Jacobson, Executive Director, Center for Science in the Public Interest, who will talk about many of the health concerns affecting the beverage business. Next up will be a presentation titled “The New Consumer Base” led by executives from IRI and SPINS.
The second round of the finals of New Beverage Showdown 6 will begin at 2:00 p.m and after a very short break, we’ll return with two more intriguing presentations on getting into and working with Costco and how to develop a “virtual board” of directors. The day will end with the announcement of the winner of New Beverage showdown 6 – don’t miss it!
