BevNET released its 2008 Energy Drink Guide Monday, and the publication is currently available in both physical and digital formats at BevNET.com.
This year’s guide showcases 218 brands, and includes 25 brands from the emerging energy shot category. That’s an increase of 37 brands from the 2007 Buyer’s guide, which reflects the continued growth of the energy drink category. Beverage companies boasted about $3 billion in energy drink sales in 2007, up from about $2.5 billion in 2006. That doesn’t include the energy shot category, which is fast becoming one of the most profitable uses of space in retail stores.
