Utah Brewer's Cooperative, located in Salt Lake City, UT has a new opening for an experienced Brewery Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.  Primary tasks include troubleshooting issues, repairing failures of all production and facilities equipment while ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.  All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and safety practices of Utah Brewer's Cooperative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but are not limited to the following)

  • Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment in all areas of the facility, including the brewhouse, cellar operations, and bottling areas;
  • Follow a preventative maintenance program, change oil in gearboxes, lubricate and do visual inspections on all equipment;
  • Repair or replace motor starters, contactors, push buttons, sensors, and circuit breakers as needed.



  • A minimum 2-4 year technical degree or an Associate's Degree in an applicable technical field;
  • Technical experience with packaging equipment to include fillers for bottles and kegs, labelers, case packers, and other packaging equipment included on automated packaging line;
  • Must have a technical / mechanical background with 5+ years of experience setting up and servicing packaging equipment;
  • Must have ability to perform advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving issues;
  • The ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics and blue prints;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • 5 years + welding experience on stainless steel is preferred;
  • The ability to work flexible hours to support line start up, CIP's and changeover;
  • The ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision;
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other team members and division members, while being open to constant change in a dynamic working environment;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Genuine enthusiasm for craft beer and the beer industry;



  • Must be able to repetitively lift 55 lbs;
  • Able to climb and move ladders up to 40 feet;
  • Able to walk, stand, crawl, bend and maneuver in small, confined spaces.
