@@img1Fort Worth, TX – Entities related to or advised by the Investment Management firm, Luther King Capital Management, through Beverage Acquisition Company, have purchased the assets of The Switch Beverage Company, Richmond, VA and have named Mr. Brian Boyd and Mr. James Owens, respectively as the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Operating Officer. The Switch is the beverage industry’s leading provider of carbonated 100% blended fruit juice alternative beverages.
“Mr. Boyd and Mr. Owens have a strong track record working as a team, building value in portfolio companies ranging from early stage ventures to mature businesses that were expanded through merger and acquisition strategies. We are pleased to have them at the helm of our newly acquired beverage company. In our projects with this management team, they have proven their entrepreneurial skills and the long-term vision which will enable The Switch Beverage Company to realize its potential as a cornerstone for a family of successful businesses in the beverage industry,” said Todd Truitt, Luther King Capital Management.

Mr. Boyd also serves on the Board of Directors of Check Tech Financial Corporation, Dakota Arms, Inc., BTWW Retail, Inc. and Boyd Holdings.
New CEO Brian Boyd said, “The Beverage Acquisition Company was organized by LKCM in late 2005 to acquire emerging and established specialty niche beverage and food companies in the Natural Food & Beverage markets.
