@@img1STAMFORD, CT – November 29, 2006 – The Switch Beverage Company, makers of The Switch, the only national, carbonated, 100% juice beverage on the market, named Maura Mottolese president. She reports to CEO Brian Boyd.

Maura Mottolese, recently held the position of senior vice president of marketing at Revlon, but couldn’t be happier to be back working in the beverage world. “I love beverages and know that The Switch is an incredible brand with terrific potential.” Prior to Revlon, Mottolese spent just under a decade at Snapple during both Triarc and Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages’ (CSAB) ownership. She started in 1997 at Snapple as director of innovation and new products. During that time, Snapple came out with the award winning product Whipper Snapple and Elements, an herb enhanced energy drink. Mottolese was rewarded with the VP spot, becoming VP, Snapple marketing in 1999. Her responsibilities included all product development and communications programs. During her tenure, Snapple continually re-energized the brand for both consumers and the trade with initiatives such as the much heralded under the cap “Snapple Real Facts,” the “Personified Bottle” advertising campaign and a promotion only Snapple would run, the “Snapple Yard Sale.” Along with other beverage notables, Mottolese is credited with helping to engineer the Snapple turnaround at Triarc, making it a very attractive acquisition for (CSAB). After Snapple was purchased by (CSAB) in 2000, Mottolese stayed on to run Snapple and many other venerable brands such as Mott’s, Rose’s, Orangina, Stewart’s, Clamato and Hawaiian Punch.
Prior to Snapple, Mottolese worked in field marketing and brand management at Cadbury Schweppes (before the company moved their headquarters to Texas) on brands such as Hires and A&W Root Beer from 1993-1996. She rounded out her beverage experience with a stint at Labatt USA working on the European Import beer brands.
Mottolese has a BS in business from The University at Buffalo and a MBA from Cornell. She lives in New Canaan, Connecticut with her husband and three daughters.
